Guitarist Rich Dunn and bassist Ben Sorensen have been playing in bands together for ten years. Despite their efforts, the two never seemed to find the sound they were seeking. In early 2009 the two started out on a mission to find a drummer and singer to get it right once and for all.

Through two simple posts on craiglists, and after auditioning numerous drummers and vocalists, they found the missing links--drummer Steve Morphis and vocalist Taylor Howe, and at the end of 2009 the band Wakeside was formed.
